Everyday Habits That Quietly Create Electrical Hazards
Most electrical hazards aren't dramatic. They build slowly from habits that seem harmless:
Running extension cords under rugs or through doorways. The cord gets pinched and damaged, and you can't see it happening.
Daisy-chaining power strips. Plugging one power strip into another multiplies the load on a single outlet far beyond what it was designed for.
Using the wrong bulb wattage. Exceeding a fixture's rated wattage generates heat that can damage the socket and surrounding wiring.
